Support Groups: Here to Help You Adjust to Vision Loss
These classes are designed to help attendees get more comfortable with their vision loss by improving skills, sharing tips with other people who are blind or visually impaired, and through the support of trained experts in the vision loss field. Whether you’re new to vision loss or have been a part of the community for many years, you’re welcome and encouraged to attend.

Gathering Pointe
This is a FREE facilitated adult discussion/support group for those with blindness and vision loss.
Gathering Pointe is held at the Alphapointe Life Skills Campus – 7501 Prospect Ave., KCMO, 64132. Meetings occur the second Thursday of every month from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.

Adult Group Classes
At the beginning of each month, we start free group classes to help people with vision loss learn some basics. The classes run for four weeks and include:
Braille – Mondays from 3-4PM
Adaptive technology – Tuesdays from 3-4PM
Orientation and mobility – Wednesdays from 3-4PM
Activities of daily living – Fridays from 11AM – 12PM (requires a visit to our vision clinic and an eye report before attendance).
